La Tejana is located on a 1,000m² plot with 260m² of housing. It was built in the late nineteenth century and restored between 1990 and 1996, respecting the original construction. The house is made of stone, beams of tea and wood of riga, with a roof that conserves the old Canary tile that was used 180 years ago in the initial construction. We have chosen the Spanish noun of this element (teja) to give name to 'La Tejana'.
After its restoration, the house has been awarded by the Tourist Board of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo Insular of Gran Canaria, for its contribution to the beauty of the area.
The environment has pleasant meeting spaces with different environments both indoors and outdoors that facilitate meetings, friendship and a relaxed atmosphere, becoming an ideal place whether you decide to spend your holidays alone or accompanied.
Inside the House
Calm and comfort
Inside the house you can enjoy a spacious living room and a fully glazed dining room with beautiful views that immerse you in nature. This space is ideal to relax, read or maintain pleasant conversations. Also, if you want to connect with your acquaintances, you can do it through the wi-fi network of the house. In this stay you will always have water, tea and fruit at your disposal.
For your rest, on the top floor, we have three double rooms and one single room, all with wooden floors and sloping ceilings, with two bathrooms fully equipped with towels, shower kit and hairdryer.
Outside the house
Nature and harmony
Outside the house is so nice that invites you to make life outdoors. As soon as you enter the place you will find the pool, built in what was formerly the viewpoint of the house, where you can take a bath enjoying the best views of the environment. In a space of 150m² of lawn with trees and hammocks, is our yoga room with capacity for 10 people, fully glazed so you never stop feeling in nature.
In addition, while you walk around the outside of the house, you will find a shaded porch, a sun-dried terrace, an outdoor kitchen, or our organic garden, all of them ready for you to spend great moments enjoying the sun, the company of others or having a little privacy to be with yourself.
